Anyone want a copy of the NES roleplaying game Crystalis? It has a lot of awesomeness in commom with Zelda. I have one up on ebay for $6.50.

lttp = best game ever [03 Dec 2004|04:24am]
digitalemotion
hello,

im new here so i'll introduce myself. my name is Dylan, im from zoetermeer, the netherlands, and i absolutely love lttp. i bought it when i was like 7 or 8, and i remember being able to play hours and hours and days and months trying to defeat the game. hehe, back then it even took me a while to beat that boss in castle3 (in the mountains) in the light world. hehe ;/

anyway, i just wanna say that a link to the past rules. everything about it is perfect. the storyline is great, the gameplay is smooth, the graphics are splendid and it has a great, if not the best, theme song ive ever heard. you know, the light world outdoor song :D

ive played some other zeldas too: link's awakenings on the gameboy, but it couldnt really get a hold of me. i tried the n64 zelda's on an emulator but that kinda sucks (playing with your keyboard instead of a controller), so i quit that. later on, i decided to buy a gamecube just for Wind Waker, hehe :D i couldnt wait so i bought it right away, only to find out that it was the IMPORT (guy at the shop didnt tell me) version that can only be played with the Freeloader disc. so i had to buy that as well :( after that, i found out that the game would be released with the bonus disc in a special Europa package or something. that kinda sucked, since i payed 100 euros (around 110 dollars) for a game and didnt even get the bonus remakes :/ luckily, ive found out that a friend of mine has them, and that i can probably get them for free :D yay

back to the wind waker: it's a great game, graphics are GREAT (even though i dont care about graphics really, i care more about gameplay), but it doesnt catch me as much as LTTP did. i think LTTP is the best game ever made. ever. i love nintendo.

ooh, and im playing minish cap now on an emulator :D its cool! im gonna beat it anywhere this week, i guess.

peace to all the zelda fans out there

A Link to the Past: The Website [02 Jul 2004|06:01pm]

gphemsley
Now, I know you seen a lot of Zelda sites out there that focus on the entire Zelda series, in general, with every game covered not-so-deeply. Well, I have created a website (over a year ago, actually) that is entirely devoted to A Link to the Past.

You can find it at http://www.lttp.net/. Be sure to register and post at the forums!

Where can I find Link to the Past Online? [17 May 2004|05:24pm]

A Canadian site please! I've never played it, and no store for miles has it! ;_;

Or if someone just wants to ship it up to me, email me at Havermayer@hotmail.com and I'll tell you the specifics.

so i'm still doing that intermediate lttp challenge and i made it through castle rock! i only had 13 hearts and lv.2 shield (i didnt know i was supposed ot get the reflective one), and one bottle filled with green potion. the temple was hard but i was mostly worried about the boss cuz he always kicks my ass. when i got to him i had full hearts and magic. i first started on the blue head because he makes the floor icy. i blasted him with the fire rod and got him out of the way with no hearts lost. then i did the red head, used 1 bottle of green potion, and only lost 3 hearts. then i took on the worm who knocked out 6 more hearts till i was down to 4 but then he was done! i did it!

i had a harder time on the ice palace boss! now i have to go and beat blind. that guy is such a bastard. i wanted to have as much defense as possible get before i took him on.

OMG! Somebody actually had the Master Sword from Zelda made. :D

Anyone else agree that to be the coolest piece of Zelda merchandising yet? Nintendo should catch on and start producing these babies for the mass market. ^.^

Uhh, yeah... greetings. ::waves shyly:: Just discovered this community, and as an old-school video game geek, as well as someone who's reliving the Link To The Past experience on Game Boy Advance, I had to join.

A while ago, I managed to create a perfect replica of the font used for in-game dialogue in A Link To The Past, by actually ripping the character bitmaps from the SNES ROM and pasting them into a font editing application. If you don't already have the font and want it— it's been featured on a number of popular weblogs and is even used by ZeldaLegends.com— grab it, along with a number of other old-school game fonts at zone38.net/font. And yes, that's the font in question in my icon; a bit of cognitive dissonance to use the Zelda font with Mario sprites, I know, but still... ;-)

I know, I know, it's shameless self-promotion, and perhaps old news to some of you, but I figured that a community dedicated to this particular video game classic should know about it...
